Over the next year, Arlington Public Schools staff plans to start a program of looking at intersections and transportation around county schools. The idea will be to see what really happens at each of the locations, looking at traffic light timing, traffic patterns, walking patterns, the condition of the crosswalks and that sort of thing.
From there, they can request improvements and make adjustments as needed.
It will take about a year to fully implement the process, staff said.

Outdoor Cafes on private property were redefined by the Arlington County Board on Saturday. The rules help define what an outdoor cafe is and allow those that use their own property to stay open all year.

Both the Arlington County Civic Federation and Preservation Virginia earlier this month officially stood against the Arlington National Cemetery Millennium Project as the Army Corps. of Engineers plans to develop it.

He wanted to highlight how the Odagaisama Center made use of the lessons learned to help the evacuees overcome the isolation, loneliness, and depression and create ways for folks to connect and create community.
