The Northern Virginia Senior Olympics exists to offer residents of northern Virginia 50 years old and over a chance to meet one another and compete in events from card games and dominoes to golf and swimming. The events are played in venues all over the region.
The annual September event promotes health, makes the public aware of the senior population's abilities, and promotes the use of recreation facilities in the region, the NVSO website says.
The event ended yesterday with pickleball at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center in Arlington. It began last week.
