Police-Car-House

Updated (Aug. 21): According to Dustin Sternbeck, landscapers on the property found a broken basement window at the back of the house. The homeowner was notified and reported a missing safe and a missing company computer. Sternbeck is the public information officer for the police department.

Police are investigating a burglary in the 4700 block of N. 1st St. A number of police cars are there.

However, one officer said the reason was simply that they are moving through a shift change, with some arriving and others are preparing to leave.

A K-9 unit was there earlier. No official word yet from the police; this report is based on police scanner traffic.

I'll update as needed.

Disclaimer: I rarely cover the spot news of police and fire unless I happen upon it or it is too big to ignore. I live nearby, and happened by this one. --Steve
