Voters hoping to cast an absentee ballot for the 45th seat in the House of Delegates can vote in-person absentee until Saturday Sept. 1, the county's website says.
The election office will remain open on Labor Day, by state law, to cover emergency absentee voting, said Linda Lindberg, the general registrar in the office of elections. This is reserved for people who, after noon on Saturday Sept. 1, become too ill or are suddenly called out-of-town to vote on election day Sept. 4.
In-person absentee voting:
- 2100 Clarendon Blvd., Suite 320
- 8-5 Monday through Friday
- 8:30-5 Saturday Sept. 1
All other county offices and the libraries will be closed for Labor Day Monday.
