Coffee with a Side of Marines Running and Ghastly Humor, Oct. 31, 2011
I'm in a bit of a hurry this morning, and running late, as you can tell by the after-7-a.m. posting of the blog.
Anyway, the Marine Corp Marathon winner took the best time in 15 years, the Post reports.
The Sun Gazette ran a story about practice emergency training. The lead is an Orson Welles styled, a little too true, War of the Worlds, Halloween kind of lead.
Finally, since it's Monday, we need humor.
Cul de Sac is simply the funniest comic out there right now. Doonsebury, sure it's always hot, but for a great voice (and given the number of references that look to me like Arlington) I just can't help but love CdS.
I don't know if you ever check out this comic, but it's another that I can't help but follow: Basic Instructions. Creator Scott Meyer thinks of daily situations that could benefit from some "basic instructions."
TTFN,
Happy Halloween!
