Coffee with a Side of Puppies! (Aw, Shucks!) and Manifestos
We'll start with news from around town yesterday:
PUPPIES! The GMU Law School (its campus is on N. Fairfax Drive) brings puppies in to quell the nerves of students facing finals, and the Washington Post got photos! (I am not a huge beagle fan, but these are just too cute!)
ArlNow covered the shuttering of the NEX gas station near the Pentagon. (It's the gas station and convenience store for the military.) It's all part of the Columbia Pike redevelopment and the Arlington National Cemetary expansion.
The Sun Gazette has news that another person might enter the race for county board.
TBD has an essay about a sparrow in the Rosslyn Metro Station.
The Arlington Connection has a piece about Ballston BID's bid to reinvent the neighborhood from Mall to Science-and-Tech hub.
Finally, Patch is reporting an increase in the VDOT's snow removal budget.
I'll leave you with this, the Millenials of the Occupy movement have a draft manifesto that they're circulating for comment--the funny thing is, it's about three years old!
I'm done for the week on this column.
