We are looking for a volunteer magician to lead a twenty to twenty five minute magic show for attendees at a very special "pilot" event at the Arlington County Detention Facility. To celebrate Father's Day, some of the fathers incarcerated at the detention facility and their children will have the opportunity to play games, make crafts, read, enjoy a meal and sundae bar and hopefully watch a short magic show together. The volunteer should have experience providing children's entertainment (specifically doing magic shows) and should have all of the necessary materials/equipment.

Build Rain Barrels - Opportunity for Businesses

During the spring, the Northern Virginia Regional Rain Barrel Program likes to partner with local businesses for an employee volunteer day. The employees help to build rain barrels for the program that will be sold at the later spring and summer rain barrel sale events. We would prefer to have the volunteer day on a weekday. The volunteers will be trained prior to building the rain barrels. Volunteers will be working with tools (drills), but safety equipment will be provided.
