Help a new resident secure employment, while gaining insight into the refugee experience and learning about a new culture. Support and encourage new refugees, immigrants, and asylees in search of employment by: assisting with the job search application process; practicing interview skills; creating a résumé and providing transportation for job-related activities; organizing employment workshops and support groups.

General Volunteering Activities
Sponsor: Arlington Philharmonic Association | Location: Arlington, VA 22210
The Arlington Philharmonic Association has continuing requirements for volunteers with a wide range of skills, for example ushering at Arlington Philharmonic concerts, updating our website, preparing public-outreach mail-outs, managing and updating databases, and contacting underwriter organizations. People with handicaps are welcome. Competence in languages other than English is helpful, but not necessary. You don't even have to be a musician - just love good music!
