Las Quiero a las Dos (I Want Them Both) by Ricardo Talesnik, under the direction of Mario Marcel, opens May 10 at Gunston Arts Center, Theatre Two, 2700 S. Lang St., in Arlington, Va. The show runs through June 2, closing Teatro de la Luna’s 2011-12 season, Latin America… Passion for Theater!
During times of economic crisis… there are also marriage crises. A husband packs to run off with his lover. His wife locks him in while she waits for “the other one” to arrive to unleash a scandal. This delicious comedy uses the classic love triangle as the base for an intelligent theatrical game that examines a failure to communicate, the freedom of man and the problem when people want no ties, social or legal.
