Arlingtonian children and their parents walked to school for International Walk-to-School day. Events occurred all over the county. We have pictures from Barrett and Ashlawn elementary schools.
According the National Center for Safe Routes to School website, the first walk/bike to school day took place in 1997 in the United States. Since then the event has expanded to Canada and elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
