Community news is our mission and passion.  Community support is our need.

We are a non-stock, non-profit corporation registered in Virginia and we have applied for 501(c)3 tax-exempt status with the IRS.  We are still waiting on the IRS to give us an answer (they say we will hear in early 2013).

If the IRS OKs our status, then donations made to the Mercury will be tax-exempt for 2012 tax purposes. At this point, however, donations to the Arlington Community News Lab, Inc./Arlington Mercury are not tax exempt.
